Monitoring and Diagnostics
The exploitation and use of natural resources as well as their transformation products, even with prudence, becomes a latent environmental polluter. Thus, it is extremely important and necessary to know about such negative effects caused by exploitation, in order to minimize the impact. Therefore, it is essential to carry out an environmental monitoring and diagnosis in order to estimate and prevent consequences of activities on the environment. That said, Instituto Interagir works with a multidisciplinary team in environmental monitoring and diagnosis, through different methodologies and protocols.
Physical Environment Diagnosis
The evaluation of the Physical Environment, which consists of descriptions of aspects related to the climate, relief, soil and hydrography of the region under study, is extremely important for environmental projects. However, Instituto Interagir carries out a diagnosis of the physical environment through interactive maps, water quality monitoring and analysis of the local topography. Such action allows to mitigate environmental impacts.
Management Plans
Instituto Interagir develops Management Plans for Conservation Units, in accordance with environmental legislation, seeking knowledge of ecosystems, natural processes and positive or negative human interference that influence or define them. Therefore, a set of actions is necessary for the management and sustainable use of natural resources in any activity within and in areas surrounding the Conservation Units in order to reconcile the conservation of biodiversity. Therefore, it is essential to understand the environmental, socioeconomic, historical and cultural issues that characterize the region where it is located.
Geoprocessing and Landscape Ecology
Instituto Interagir performs landscape ecology, from a geoprocessing point of view, being of paramount importance for the construction of thematic maps of a physical-biotic nature (vegetation cover, land use, geomorphology and soils). Not only focusing on the physical and biological conditions of the environment, but also on the historical, cultural, socioeconomic aspects of human ecology, which are connected to different land uses.
Environmental Management for certification purposes
Environmental certification is the result of verifying the effectiveness of the environmental management system implemented by a company. A systematic, documented, periodic and objective assessment of the functioning of the organization's management system and environmental protection processes is carried out. Given the growing expectation of society for organizations to adopt environmentally correct practices, the Environmental Audit advances to meet the need for organizations to demonstrate their environmental responsibility, being an efficient instrument to detect possible non-compliance with environmental legislation and promote the continuous improvement of enterprises.
Identification of areas of high conservation value
High Conservation Value Forests are those areas of forest that need to be managed properly so that the identified High Conservation Values are maintained or increased. It could be a small part of a larger forest, for example, a riparian zone protecting a stream, which is the only source of drinking water for a community, or a small fragment of a rare ecosystem. Through a multidisciplinary team, Instituto Interagir, through field recognition and monitoring, develops the identification of areas of high conservation value.
Rural Environmental Registry
Instituto Interagir assists rural landowners in obtaining the CAR (Rural Environmental Registry), which is a mandatory registration for all rural properties. of restricted use, Legal Reserves, remaining forests and other forms of native vegetation, and consolidated areas, composing a database for control, monitoring, environmental and economic planning and combating deforestation. Enrollment in the CAR enables environmental and economic planning for the use and occupation of rural properties. It represents the first step towards obtaining environmental regularity. A survey of all land uses and occupations, hydrography, identification of springs, Permanent Preservation Areas (APP) and Legal Reserves (RL) is carried out, in addition to the inclusion of information in the different information systems of environmental agencies.
aerial surveys
It consists of obtaining information from land, sea or areas. However, Instituto Interagir performs aerial surveys using drones according to the type of survey desired. Through photos or footage, metric information of the earth's surface is acquired for the production of topographic maps. With these surveys, it is possible to extract valuable information for various uses. These data allow, for example, to define property boundaries, the built-up area on each land, the Master Plan planning, the location of poles, vegetation cover and topography, among others.
