MINE MAP
Partnership: Public Ministry of Minas Gerais
The Mine Map is an initiative of the Interagir Institute and the Minas Gerais Public Ministry. The work started in January 2015, mapping the entire extension of the municipality of Ipatinga, in urban and rural territories. Due to the importance of water and the control of its management, especially in rural areas, the Mapa da Mina project aims to identify, map, catalog, diagnose, study, protect and recover existing water sources, constituting data that will outline water management. . There are currently 572 springs cataloged in 215 properties.
In addition to dedicating itself to the recovery of springs, the Mapa da Mina project also works on the vegetation restoration of Permanent Preservation Areas.
