RIBEIRÃO IPANEMA PROJECT

The Ribeirão Ipanema Project is based on the characterization of the magnitude of land use and occupation of the Ribeirão Ipanema hydrographic basin, through the determination of the Water Quality Index, Trophic State Index and investigation of the influences of the individual contributions of the tributaries on the quality from the water of Ribeirão Ipanema;

The analyzes are carried out at fourteen points, which are part of the Ribeirão Ipanema and its tributaries. The points were divided into rural, peri-urban and urban areas (Table 1), where codes are established for each point, where A symbolizes (Affluent), P (Main), R (Rural) and U (Urban).

The methodology consists of three collections in the rainy season and three collections in the dry season from 2015 onwards. In a total of fourteen sampling points: Nascente Ipanema, Ipanema Zona Rural, Ipanemão, Ipaneminha, Tribuna, Barra Alegre, Morro Escuro, Ipanema Urban Area 1, Ipanema Foz, Ipanema Periurban Area, Forquilha, Taúbas, Bom Jardim, Ipanema Urban Area 2.
