
STORY
Founded on August 20, 2008, Instituto Interagir de Ações Socioambientais established the defense of the environment and practical education as its fundamental principles. Since then, it has been developing a series of projects with local partnerships, accompanied by a team composed of members who work in different areas.
From its creation, the actions already designed by the institute are:
Itinerant Environmental Education Program;
Launch of the Historical and Geographical Atlas of the Municipality of Ipatinga;
Pedagogical Tourism Project with schools in the Vale do Aço Metropolitan Region;
I, II and III Socio-environmental Symposium of the Vale do Aço Metropolitan Region;
I, II and III Expedition of the Ribeirão Ipanema Hydrographic Basin;
I, II and III Solidarity Christmas of the Tribuna Rural Community – Ipatinga;
Diagnosis and environmental intervention in the Ribeirão Ipanema basin, Ipatinga-MG.
Subsidies for the Conservation and Management of Water Resources in a sub-basin of the Rio Doce;
I Cultural Interaction and Life History – The roots of batuque in rural communities in the Vale do Aço Metropolitan Region;
Historical diagnosis of pioneer families in the rural area of the municipality of Ipatinga;
Launch of the book “The struggle for learning” by the author Dona Dutinha.
